About Us
Cypress Pride Community is a queer organization dedicated to cultivating a safe and welcoming environment within the Cypress community for queer youth and families. Cypress Pride was founded in 2022 by two Cypress residents, Maria Campos-Krekos and Carolyn Balagot, to support diversity in their community with family-friendly events including the annual Cypress Pride picnic which foster an open, caring, and judgment-free community.
It's more important than ever that we foster our own local communities, coming together to make changes in real life. Together, we can tackle the issues that are most relevant to us and give back to our community.

At Cypress Pride Community, our mission is to provide a safe and supportive space for queer youth and families to connect, grow, and thrive. We believe that by fostering a sense of community and belonging, we can help individuals to develop the confidence and self-esteem they need to succeed.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a world where LGBTQ+ individuals are celebrated and embraced for who they are. We believe that by working together and supporting one another, we can create a future where everyone has the freedom to love and live without fear.
